SECOND LINE RANKINGS FOR 2020 STANLEY CUP

NOTES: Basic playoff pools count goals and assists for skaters with a potential bonus for a hat trick. Value has been quantified based on factors including but not limited to NHL.com forward rank (listed below, if applicable), recent production, line stability or fluctuation, team scoring distribution, average ice time, injury history, contract status, age, overall upside for the Stanley Cup Qualifiers and likelihood of a deep postseason run.

Players from first (e.g. Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Patrick Kane, Mika Zibanejad) or third (e.g. Ilya Kovalchuk) lines who are ranked among NHL.com's top 110 forwards have been excluded from this list.

It's worth noting that some teams in the Stanley Cup Qualifiers will play a best-of-5 series (*) but must win their series to advance to the playoffs. The top four teams in each conference will play a maximum of three round-robin games but already have guaranteed spots in the postseason field.
