The New Jersey Devils have the first pick in the 2017 NHL Draft presented by adidas at United Center in Chicago.

The first round is June 23 (7 p.m. ET; NBCSN, SN). Rounds 2-7 are June 24 (10 a.m. ET; NHLN, SN).

The Devils won the No. 1 pick at the NHL Draft Lottery on April 29.

They are likely to choose either Brandon center Nolan Patrick or Halifax center Nico Hischier. Patrick (6-foot-2, 198 pounds) and Hischier (6-1, 178) are No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters.

The Philadelphia Flyers have the No. 2 pick, and four of the first 80 selections.

The Detroit Red Wings have six picks in the first three rounds. They have the No. 9 selection in the draft, the first time they've picked in the top 10 since 1991.

The Vegas Golden Knights have three first-round selections. They got the No. 6 pick in the lottery and acquired the No. 13 and No. 15 choices in trades at the NHL Expansion Draft.

The Dallas Stars, New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues each have two picks in the first round.

In addition to their pick at No. 3, the Stars have the No. 29 pick, acquired from the Anaheim Ducks in a trade for forward Patrick Eaves on Feb. 24.

The Rangers acquired the Arizona Coyotes' pick (No. 7) on Friday in a trade for center Derek Stepan and goalie Antti Raanta. They also have their own pick, No. 21.

The Blues have their pick at No. 20 and also No. 27, which they acquired with forwards Zach Sanford and Brad Malone from the Washington Capitals in a trade for defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk and goalie Pheonix Copley on Feb. 27.

After the lottery set the order of the first 15 picks, the Stanley Cup Playoffs established the remainder of the first round. The Pittsburgh Penguins' 2-0 victory against the Nashville Predators in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final meant they will pick No. 31. The Predators will pick 30th.

The draft order for the final six rounds is set by reverse order of the regular-season standings.
