NEW YORK, N.Y. - Henrik Lundqvist made 31 saves in his second shutout of the season and the New York Rangers beat the Nashville Predators 3-0 Monday night for their ninth straight victory at home.

Rick Nash, Derek Stepan and Kevin Hayes scored for the Rangers, who won for the 11th time in 12 games overall and improved to 16-3-2. New York's 34 points are tied with Dallas and Montreal for most in the NHL.

The shutout was the 57th in regular-season play for Lundqvist and his second against Nashville.

The previous time the Rangers won nine in a row at Madison Square Garden was during the 1971-72 season.

Pekka Rinne made 19 saves for the Predators, who fell to 11-6-3 with their third straight shutout loss. Nashville hasn't scored in a franchise-record 213 minutes, 47 seconds.

KINGS 3, PANTHERS 1

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) ? Jonathan Quick bounced back from a poor performance and Alec Martinez scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period to lift Los Angeles over Florida.

Marian Gaborik and Tyler Toffoli also scored for the Kings, and Quick stopped 31 shots. The star goalie was back in net after being pulled when he gave up four goals on 21 shots through two periods Sunday at Carolina.

Aleksander Barkov scored for the Panthers. Roberto Luongo stopped 21 shots after replacing injured Al Montoya, who exited at 11:22 of the first after taking a hit to the shoulder and head by the Kings' Nick Shore while diving to cover the puck.

BRUINS 4, MAPLE LEAFS 3, SO

TORONTO (AP) ??? David Krejci scored the only goal in a shootout and Patrice Bergeron extended his point streak to eight games as Boston beat Toronto to sweep a home-and-home series.

Brad Marchand scored twice and Zac Rinaldo also had a goal in regulation for the Bruins, who defeated Toronto 2-0 in Boston on Saturday.

Joffrey Lupul, Leo Komarov and Tyler Bozak scored for the Maple Leafs.

Tuukka Rask made 39 saves for the win. James Reimer stopped 26 shots for the Maple Leafs.

BLUES 2, SABRES 1

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) ??? Troy Brouwer and Robby Fabbri scored third-period goals that pushed St. Louis past Buffalo.

Jake Allen made 24 saves in the win, the Blues' second against Buffalo in the last week. Fabbri was credited with the go-ahead goal when Josh Gorges inadvertently put a rebound into his own net.

David Legwand scored for the Sabres, winless in their last five games. Buffalo missed two good chances to double its lead early in the third, including when Brian Gionta put an in-close shot off the crossbar.

FLYERS 3, HURRICANES 2, OT

PHILADELPHIA (AP) ??? Rookie defenceman Shayne Gostisbehere scored 24 seconds into overtime on a power play to give Philadelphia a victory over Carolina.

Brayden Schenn and Claude Giroux had goals in regulation for the Flyers, who snapped a scoreless drought that reached nearly 3 hours while earning just their third win in 14 games.

The Flyers were shut out in the previous two and entered averaging an NHL-worst 1.70 goals per game. They set a franchise low with only 34 goals through the first 20 games following Saturday's loss at Ottawa.

Victor Rask and Brett Pesce scored in the third period for the Hurricanes, who came back from a two-goal deficit to force overtime.

Rask was whistled for holding the stick 11 seconds into the extra session, and the Flyers took advantage.

CAPITALS 1, OILERS 0

WASHINGTON (AP) ??? Dmitry Orlov scored with 6:32 left in the third period, Braden Holtby made 33 saves and Washington edged Edmonton.

Tom Wilson started the game-winning play by coming up with a puck in the right corner. He quickly sent it across the ice to Orlov, who fired a high slap shot past goalie Anders Nilsson from the left circle.

Brooks Laich also got an assist as the Capitals won their second consecutive game.

Nilsson finished with 29 saves.

AVALANCHE 4, JETS 1

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) ????????? Cody McLeod scored the tiebreaking goal early in the third period to help Colorado beat Winnipeg.

Former Jets defenceman Zach Redmond's shot from in close clipped McLeod and rolled past Winnipeg goalie Michael Hutchinson at 6:45.

Carl Soderberg, Matt Duchene and Blake Comeau, who hit the empty net, also scored to help the Avalanche snap a three-game skid. Semyon Varlamov made 20 saves in his fourth win.

Toby Enstrom had the lone goal for the Jets. Hutchinson took his fourth loss.
