NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -Mathieu Darche had the go-ahead goal and an assist, and Jaroslav Halak made 31 saves as the Montreal Canadiens ended a three-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over the New Jersey Devils on Friday night.
Benoit Pouliot and Michael Cammalleri also scored for Montreal.
Zach Parise scored the only goal for the Atlantic Division-leading Devils, who have lost four of five. Martin Brodeur, making his 28th straight start, stopped 21 shots.
DENVER (AP) - Craig Anderson stopped 29 shots, Matt Duchene and Brandon Yip both scored, and Colorado won its fifth straight by topping Nashville.
Cody Franson had a goal, and Pekka Rinne made 21 saves for the Predators. Nashville, which has a better away mark than at home, has dropped two straight on the road and three consecutive overall.
Anderson, the Avalanche's only goalie during the winning streak, has allowed only two goals in his last three starts.
EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) - James Neal's goal with 22.2 seconds remaining helped Dallas snap a 10-game, road-losing streak and beat struggling Edmonton.
The Oilers have lost 10 straight and 17 of 18. It is their worst skid since a 12-game slide from Feb. 25-March 21, 2007.
Down 3-2, Edmonton appeared to force overtime when Sam Gagner was credited with his second goal of the game after Mike Modano kicked the puck into his net with 1:02 to play.
But less than a minute later, the Stars netted the winner. Jason Strudwick's clearing attempt went straight to Neal's stick, and he put his 20th of the season past goalie Devan Dubnyk.
Jamie Benn, Trevor Daley and Modano also scored for the Stars, who have won three of four.
Ryan Potulny had the other goal for the Oilers.
