NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -Martin Brodeur made 22 saves for his 108th NHL shutout and Travis Zajac scored the winning goal late in the second period as the New Jersey Devils snapped a three-game losing streak with a 2-0 victory over the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night.

Dean McAmmond added an short-handed, empty-net goal in the final minute for the Atlantic Division-leading Devils.

Brodeur (30-14-1), the league's career leader in wins and shutouts, earned his seventh blanking of the season and the fifth in 14 games. Brodeur earned his 30th win of the season in New Jersey's 48th game. He is tied with Patrick Roy with an NHL-record 13 seasons of at least 30 wins.

Florida's Tomas Vokoun, who was 4-0-1 with two shutouts in his previous five games, made 30 saves.

MONTREAL (AP) - Andy McDonald scored 3:19 into overtime to lift St. Louis over Montreal.

McDonald scored unassisted as he beat Carey Price with a wrist shot into the top left corner after St. Louis blew a 3-1 lead in the third period.

Scott Gomez tied it for the Canadiens with only 32.9 seconds remaining in regulation. Benoit Pouliot scored his second goal of the game midway through the third as Montreal rallied to earn a point after falling behind 2-0 just 3:35 in.

David Perron and Paul Kariya scored 38 seconds apart in the first and Alex Steen added St. Louis' third goal late in the opening period to give the Blues the 3-1 lead.
