LOS ANGELES (AP) -Jarome Iginla scored a goal in each period to lead the Calgary Flames to a 5-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.

Iginla completed his first hat trick of the season, and ninth of his career, with a shot from the right circle that got past goalie Jonathan Quick with 4:07 left in the game. It was Iginla's 11th goal in his last nine games.

The Calgary captain scored the Flames' first goal just 13 seconds after the opening faceoff. He tied it at 2 during a 5-on-3 power play 6:51 into the second.

Iginla was in the penalty box when Daymond Langkow scored a key short-handed goal for Calgary to break a 2-2 tie early in the third period.

David Moss also scored for the Flames and Miikka Kiprusoff made 23 saves.

Drew Doughty and Alexander Frolov scored for the Kings.

MONTREAL (AP) - Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg scored on Detroit's first two shootout attempts to lift the Red Wings past Montreal.

Brad Stuart and Datsyuk scored power-play goals 2:01 apart in the first period for Detroit, coming off a shootout loss to Florida on Friday night.

Mike Cammalleri scored twice in the third for Montreal, beaten after regulation for the first time this season.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Tuomo Ruutu and Jussi Jokinen scored second-period goals, and Manny Legace made 20 saves for Carolina.

Chad LaRose added a goal with 4:23 remaining. The Hurricanes have won three of their last four and have points in their last five games.

Martin St. Louis scored for the Lightning, and Mike Smith made 24 saves. Tampa Bay entered the game 4-0-3 in its previous seven.

TORONTO (AP) - Phil Kessel and Niklas Hagman scored shootout goals to give Toronto its first victory in six games - and first in extra time all season.

Hagman also scored in regulation for the Maple Leafs (4-11-6). Alex Ovechkin scored his 16th goal for Washington (13-5-5).

NEW YORK (AP) - Nathan Horton, Jordan Leopold and Steven Reinprecht scored goals and Tomas Vokoun made 32 saves for streaking Florida.

After a slow start, the Panthers are 8-2-1 in their last 11 games. Vinny Prospal and Marian Gaborik scored for New York. The Rangers lost for the fourth time in five games and have dropped three in a row at Madison Square Garden.

ATLANTA (AP) - Defenseman Martin Skoula scored twice, Evgeni Malkin added a goal and Pittsburgh held on for its third victory in eight games.

Chris Thorburn and Maxim Afinogenov scored for Atlanta.

OTTAWA (AP) - Daniel Alfredsson had two goals and an assist, and Filip Kuba had a goal and three assists in Ottawa's third straight victory.

Chris Kelly and Milan Michalek also scored for the Senators. Thomas Vanek, Patrick Kaleta and Jason Pominville scored for Buffalo.
