NEW YORK (AP) -Dainius Zubrus tipped in Zach Parise's soft shot 7:51 into the third period and the New Jersey Devils remained undefeated on the road with a 4-2 victory over the New York Rangers on Thursday night.
Zubrus' first goal this season made a winner of Martin Brodeur, who had never beaten Rangers counterpart Henrik Lundqvist in regulation on the road in the regular season. Brodeur made 29 saves to push the Devils to 4-0 away from home.
Brodeur, the NHL's career leader with 562 victories, had an anxious moment shortly before Zubrus snapped the 2-2 tie. Marian Gaborik stole the puck from Brodeur behind the net, but couldn't get it to a teammate for a shot at the vacated net.
Parise scored twice, and Nicklas Bergfors added a goal for the Devils.
Gaborik and Ales Kotalik scored for New York. The Rangers have lost two straight after winning seven in a row.
MONTREAL (AP) - Scott Gomez and Marc-Andre Bergeron scored in the first period and Montreal won in regulation for the first time in 13 games dating to last season.
Max Pacioretty, Mike Cammalleri and Maxim Lapierre also scored for Montreal, and Jaroslav Halak made 21 saves in his second straight start after helping the Canadiens stop a five-game losing streak Tuesday night with a 2-1 shootout win over Colorado.
Josh Bailey had a short-handed goal for the Islanders.
ATLANTA (AP) - Jeff Schultz, Matt Bradley and Chris Clark scored in an 88-second span of the second period, and Semyon Varlamov stopped 22 shots to help Washington win its third straight game.

OTTAWA (AP) - Shea Weber scored on a power play in overtime for Nashville, ripping a shot between goalie Pascal Leclaire's pads.
Weber also had a goal and an assist in regulation.
Chris Phillips scored the tying goal for the Senators with 1.6 seconds left while Ottawa was playing short-handed and Leclaire on the bench for an extra attacker.
Ryan Suter had two goals and an assist, and J.P. Dumont scored once and set up four other goals to help the Predators snap a six-game winless slide. Cody Franson scored his first NHL goal in just his third game.
Anton Volchenkov had a goal and an assist, and Chris Campoli, Nick Foligno and Milan Michalek also scored for Ottawa.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Mike Smith won for the first time in nine months, and James Wright scored his first NHL goal to lead Tampa Bay.
Smith, who missed the final 32 games last season because of post concussion syndrome, made 32 saves to win for the first time since Jan. 27.
