BOSTON (AP) -David Krejci and Marc Savard scored 4:16 apart midway through the third period to help the Boston Bruins beat the Ottawa Senators 6-4 on Thursday night.

Boston ended a two-game losing streak that followed a nine-game winning streak.

Savard also had two assists, and Aaron Ward, Chuck Kobasew, Michael Ryder and P.J. Axelsson added goals for Boston. Brendan Bell, Chris Phillips and Chris Kelly scored for Ottawa. The Senators have lost seven of their last eight games.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Mike Knuble, Scott Hartnell and Scottie Upshall scored to help Philadelphia take sole possession of the Atlanta Division lead.

Hartnell's tying goal in the second period ended Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom's bid for three straight shutouts. Backstrom stretched his shutout streak to 149 minutes, 9 seconds before Hartnell flipped a loose puck past him early in the second.

Stephane Veilleux scored for Minnesota.

DETROIT (AP) - Marian Hossa, Dan Cleary, Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg each had a goal and an assist in Detroit's fifth straight victory.

Kirk Maltby and Tomas Holmstrom also scored, Niklas Kronwall added three assists, and Chris Osgood made 22 saves. Loui Eriksson scored for Dallas.

DENVER (AP) - Wojtek Wolski's goal with 6:59 remaining broke a tie, and Andrew Raycroft stopped 43 shots for Colorado.

Ryan Smyth had a goal and assisted on the winner to help the Avalanche snap a two-game home losing streak. Brian Campbell scored for Chicago.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Ilya Kovalchuk had a goal and an assist, and Kari Lehtonen made 29 saves for Atlanta's first shutout of the season.

Colby Armstrong, Jim Slater and Marty Reasoner also scored for the Thrashers. Lehtonen has 12 career shutouts.

MONTREAL (AP) - Andrei Kostitsyn had a goal and two assists, and Jaroslav Halak made 30 saves in Montreal's third straight victory.

Sergei Kostitsyn, Maxim Lapierre, Guillaume Latendresse, Alex Kovalev and Max Pacioretty also scored for the Canadiens, 8-1-1 in their last 10 games.

Tomas Kaberle and Matt Stajan scored for Toronto.

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) - Daymond Langkow scored his 15th goal and added two assists for Calgary, giving six goals and six assists during a seven-game points streak.

Rene Bourque, Mike Cammalleri, Curtis Glencross, and Adam Pardy also scored for Calgary in the Northwest Division-leading Flames' sixth consecutive home victory. Miikka Kiprusoff made 24 saves to win his NHL-best 25th game (25-11-3).

Trevor Smith scored his first NHL goal, and Jeff Tambellini also scored for New York, 0-13-1 in its last 14 road games.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Ryan Suter's power-play goal at 9:04 of the third period broke tie, and Nashville went on to snap a five-game losing streak.

Martin Erat, David Legwand, Jerred Smithson and Greg Zanon also scored for Nashville. Petr Sykora, Jordan Staal and Maxime Talbot scored for Pittsburgh. The Penguins have lost six of their last seven games.

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) - Jay Bouwmeester and Nathan Horton scored early in the third period to break a tie, and Florida ended Carolina's winning streak at four games.

David Booth had a goal and an assist, Gregory Campbell added an empty-net goal, and Tomas Vokoun made 30 saves. Anton Babchuk and Sergei Samsonov scored for Carolina.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Kyle Turris broke a tie with 11:51 remaining and Phoenix beat Tampa Bay for the first time in nearly eight years.

Olli Jokinen and Peter Mueller also scored for Phoenix. Jeff Halpern had a goal and an assist, and Andrej Meszaros scored his first goal for Tampa Bay.
