CHICAGO (AP) -Nikolai Khabibulin made 34 saves, Martin Havlat, Andrew Ladd and Patrick Sharp each had a goal and an assist, and the Chicago Blackhawks rebounded from consecutive losses to Detroit to beat Calgary 5-2 on Sunday night.

Kris Versteeg and Dustin Byfuglien also scored for Chicago, swept by Detroit in a home-and-home series that featured the Winter Classic after winning a franchise-record nine straight games. Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith had two assists.

Todd Bertuzzi and Daymond Langkow scored for Calgary. Chicago ended the Flames' winning streak at five and snapped their points streak at 10 games (7-0-3). Calgary hadn't lost in regulation since Dec. 9 at Montreal.

Blackhawks scoring leader Patrick Kane was sidelined by a high-ankle sprain, the first time he has missed a game in his NHL career because of an injury.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Brian Rolston scored a power-play goal 1:43 into overtime, and Scott Clemmensen made 17 saves to help New Jersey win for the fourth time in five games and the seventh in 10.

Jamie Langenbrunner forced the overtime for New Jersey with a power-play goal with 3:40 left in regulation. Dainius Zubrus scored twice for the Devils.

Nick Foligno, Brendan Bell and Chris Kelly scored for Ottawa, 3-8-2 in its last 13 games and 1-4-1 on an eight-game trip while the world junior tournament is in Ottawa.

MONTREAL (AP) - Andrei Markov scored the only shootout goal, and Montreal backup Jaroslav Halak stopped Cory Stillman, Nathan Horton and Michael Frolik after making 19 saves in his second straight start.

Andrei Kostitsyn scored twice in regulation for the Canadiens, and Francis Bouillon, Tom Kostopoulos and Robert Lang added goals.

Radek Dvorak scored his second goal of the third period with 1:38 left to draw Florida even at 5. Brett McLean, David Booth, Jassen Cullimore also scored.

DENVER (AP) - Niklas Backstrom made 33 saves for his fourth shutout of the season, and Owen Nolan scored twice to help Minnesota snap a six-game road losing streak.

It's the first time in 61 regular-season and playoff games the Wild have held Colorado scoreless. The Avalanche have lost three in a row.

Backstrom improved to 5-1 lifetime at Pepsi Center, his most wins in any road arena. He has 13 career shutouts.

ATLANTA (AP) - Martin St. Louis scored twice, and Mike Smith made 27 saves to help Tampa Bay move out of last place in the Southeast Division.

Tampa Bay (11-18-10) has 32 points, one more than Atlanta (13-22-5).

Smith's shutout bid ended with 21.2 seconds left when Erik Christensen scored off a rebound during a scramble in front of the net. Steve Eminger and Ryan Malone also scored for Tampa Bay.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Jonas Hiller made 29 saves for his third shutout of the season for Anaheim, and Bobby Ryan had a goal and an assist.

Ryan assisted on Chris Pronger's power-play goal early in the second period, and scored his seventh goal on a power play early in the third.
