DALLAS (AP) -Mike Modano scored on a power play with 2:21 remaining to give the Dallas Stars a 4-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday night.

Modano broke a tie with his 537th career goal, beating rookie Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers from the left circle off a feed from Brad Richards. Modano, the career goal leader among U.S.-born players, became the 31st NHL player to reach 1,300 points.

Sean Avery gave Dallas - last in the Western Conference - a 3-2 lead with 5:09 remaining off a centering pass from rookie James Neal, but the Oilers tied it with 3:22 left on Kyle Brodziak's goal off a rebound, his second goal of the game.

Toby Petersen scored his first goal in two seasons, and Mike Ribeiro added a power-play goal for Dallas. Ales Hemsky also scored for Edmonton.

ATLANTA (AP) - Keith Tkachuk tied it at 2 late in the second period for his 1,000th point, and Brad Boyes scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third for St. Louis.

Tkachuk, in his 17th NHL season, has 511 goals and 489 assists in 1,077 regular-season games. Jay McClement added an empty-net goal, and David Backes also scored.

Colby Armstrong and Niclas Havelid scored for Atlanta. The Thrashers have lost six of their last seven games.

NEW YORK (AP) - Stephen Weiss and Gregory Campbell scored 12 seconds apart for Florida in the second period, and Craig Anderson made 37 saves for his second shutout of the season and sixth overall in the NHL.

With Florida leading 1-0 on Ville Peltonen's breakaway goal earlier in the second, Weiss and Campbell connected to knock out Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist for the second time in three home games. Michael Frolik had a goal and an assist.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Rob Niedermayer and Teemu Selanne scored in a 1:09 span of the third period, and Niedermayer added another goal for Anaheim.

The Ducks, 13-3-3 since a 3-1 loss to Carolina on Oct. 19, tied a team record by earning at least a point in their eighth consecutive road game.

Ryan Getzlaf added a goal for Anaheim. Matt Cullen scoed for Carolina.
