PHILADELPHIA (AP) -Jeff Carter scored in overtime to give the Philadelphia Flyers a 3-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.
Martin Biron made 29 saves to help the Flyers beat New Jersey for the second time in two days. The Flyers' 6-3 victory Friday night snapped a 13-game winless streak in New Jersey and was Philadelphia's first win of the season following six losses.
After play was delayed in overtime when a fan threw a smoke bomb on the ice, Carter deflected Ossi Vaananen's shot from the blue line past Brodeur.
Mike Knuble and Scott Hartnell added goals for the Flyers. Zach Parise and Brian Gionta scored for New Jersey. It was Carter's sixth goal of the season and extended his goals streak to four games.
