Dec. 5-6 - NHL Board of Governors meeting.

Dec. 19-27 - Holiday roster freeze.

Jan. 26-30 - All-Star break.

Jan. 29 - All-Star game, Ottawa.

Feb. 27 - Trade deadline, 3 p.m. EST.

March 12-14 - NHL general managers meeting, Boca Raton, Fla.

April 7 - Regular season ends.

April 11 - Stanley Cup playoffs begin.
