Boston Bruins

Patrice Bergeron did not play for the Bruins in a 4-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday and will be out at least one more game.
The center will not play at the Winnipeg Jets on Friday (8 p.m. ET; TSN3, NESN, ESPN+, NHL LIVE).
"Yeah, 'Bergy's' not here," Boston coach Bruce Cassidy said Wednesday. "He's out. Previous injury that's kind of, I don't know quite how to describe it, kind of reemerged, so there's a risk of infection, so he went back to Boston, will be out tonight, will be out [at the Winnipeg Jets (on Friday)] and then we'll decide, or the doctors will decide after that. So he'll be out the next two at least."
Bergeron scored Tuesday in a 2-1 overtime win at the Chicago Blackhawks. Cassidy said the injury relates to a previous arm injury and is not related to an awkward fall in that game.
"We're just trying to be cautious about it," Cassidy said. "At the end of the day we don't want anything to come of it."
Tomas Nosek took Bergeron's spot between Brad Marchand and Jake DeBrusk, and Anton Blidh became the center on the fourth line with Nick Foligno and Curtis Lazar.
Bergeron has scored 45 points (17 goals, 28 assists) in 56 games this season. His 0.80 points per game are his fewest since 2016-17 (53 points in 79 games, 0.67). -- Jessi Pierce

Winnipeg Jets

Andrew Copp is expected to return to the Jets lineup against the Bruins.
The forward missed a 7-3 win against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday for precautionary reasons after being hit in the head by Oskar Sundqvist of the St. Louis Blues in a 4-3 overtime win on Sunday.
Copp missed six games after sustaining a concussion when he was hit in the head by Jordan Greenway of the Minnesota Wild on Feb. 16.
Copp, who has 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) in 54 games this season, said Thursday he did not have a concussion after the most recent hit but that he and Winnipeg's medical staff decided to delay concussion tests until Tuesday due to Winnipeg's weekend travel.
"I passed that," Copp said. "I was really happy that there haven't really been any symptoms and there haven't been any concerns. We were just being very cautious and obviously, with the amount of time between the two hits, we wanted to be careful with that and not put myself in a situation to get hit again. The last few days have been pretty good.
"I've felt pretty good on the ice the last couple of days. We'll see where tomorrow takes us. But I'm really happy that there's no concussion and the thing that I'm trying to take out of it is that I can take a hit like that and my head is not as fragile as maybe I feared when I first got hit and I feel good after it." -- Tim Campbell

Montreal Canadiens

Jake Allen made 31 saves in his first start for the Canadiens since he sustained a lower-body injury Jan. 12, a 4-3 overtime loss to the Dallas Stars on Thursday.
Allen made several strong saves early before Radek Faksa gave the Stars a 1-0 lead at 18:33 of the first period.
"I wanted to try to keep things as simple as I could tonight and stay in my blue paint and sort of let the game come to me and build," Allen said. "I didn't expect to be perfect the first game, but hopefully I can build as this stretch goes on here."
The goalie was expected to be sidelined for eight weeks.
"I never really had an injury necessarily," Allen said Wednesday. "I tried to tough it out (when injured against the Boston Bruins), maybe be a bit of a hero, but about 10 seconds later, I knew something wasn't right."
Allen is 5-16-3 with a 3.18 goals-against average, .900 save percentage and two shutouts in 25 games.
Canadiens forward Christian Dvorak had three shots and won 11 of 15 face-offs (73.3 percent) in 16:42 after missing 19 games with an upper-body injury.

Dallas Stars

Andrej Sekera is expected to return to the lineup for the Stars this weekend.
The defenseman has not played since Jan. 28 because of a viral infection. He'll be back at the New York Islanders on Saturday or the Washington Capitals on Sunday.
Sekera has three assists in 24 games this season.
