Toronto Maple Leafs

Auston Matthews did not play against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.
Matthews did not practice Friday after he aggravated an injury to his right wrist during a 2-1 overtime win against the Calgary Flames on Wednesday. The center is day to day.

Detroit Red Wings

Dylan Larkin will not play against the Chicago Blackhawks this weekend because of an upper-body injury.
The center did not travel to Chicago for two games against the Blackhawks. The Detroit captain is day to day.
Larkin leads the Red Wings with 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 22 games this season.
Detroit plays the Blackhawks again Sunday (7 p.m. ET; NBCSN, SNW, SNP).

Buffalo Sabres

Jack Eichel missed his second straight game because of a lower-body injury. The center, who is day to day, did not play in a 3-0 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.
Eichel was scratched from a 4-3 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils on Thursday and did not practice Friday. He is second on the Sabres with 14 points (two goals, 12 assists) in 16 games this season.
Linus Ullmark will be out
at least one month
because of a lower-body injury.
The goalie left after the first period Thursday after he appeared to get injured making a save 5:57 into the period.
Ullmark is 5-4-2 with a 2.44 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage in 12 games this season.

Washington Capitals

Evgeny Kuznetsov is day to day with an upper-body injury. The forward was a late scratch prior to a 5-2 win against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.
Kuznetsov has scored six points (two goals, four assists) in 11 games this season.
The Capitals play the second game of a back-to-back set against the Devils on Sunday (3 p.m. ET; MSG, NBCSWA, NHL.TV).
