Don't trust Taylor Hall with your calculator, kids.
While it is not October yet, hockey fans, it is back to school time. In that spirit, some of the NHL's best shared memories of their back-to-school shopping days.
And the New Jersey Devils forward said that when it came to losing calculators, he was the best.
"I think I lost a calculator for every year that I went to school," the veteran said.
While other players like Vegas Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, Ottawa Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson and Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn were choosing items such as erasers, pens and backpacks, Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid went the other direction.
Instead, the Hart Memorial Trophy winner admitted that he was the one who was mooching supplies off his classmates.
"I was always kind of the guy that was asking for stuff," McDavid said. "I never brought paper or anything like that, so I was always that guy in class."
We forgive you, Connor.
