2019 NHL® All-Star Game, NHL All-Star Skills Competition® refund policy

The 2019 NHL® All-Star Game (the "Game") and NHL All-Star Skills Competition® (the "Competition") (collectively, the "Event") will be held at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The Competition will take place on January 25, 2019, and the Game will take place on January 26, 2019. Any portion of the Event may be delayed or postponed for any reason. Please note refunds will not be issued if the Event (or any portion of the Event) is delayed or postponed.

The Game and/or the Competition may be cancelled at the discretion of the National Hockey League ("NHL") for any reason, including, but not limited to, weather or natural disaster. Except as described below, all Event ticket sales are final and no refunds or exchanges are permitted. If the Event or any portion thereof is cancelled, a purchaser having purchased a ticket from an Authorized Ticket Outlet (defined below) (each, a "Primary Ticket Purchaser") will be entitled to a ticket refund from the applicable Authorized Ticket Outlet, subject to the following terms and conditions:

NHL announces date change for 2019 All-Star Weekend

NEW YORK -- The National Hockey League (NHL®) today announced date changes for the 2019 NHL All-Star Weekend, hosted by the San Jose Sharks and the City of San Jose. The League's midseason showcase at SAP Center will now take place Jan. 25-26, 2019, and will include the NHL All-Star Skills Competition™ at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Friday, Jan. 25 (NBCSN, CBC, SN, TVAS), and the NHL® All-Star Game at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Saturday, Jan. 26 (NBC, CBC, SN, TVAS). 
 
The 2019 NHL® All-Star Game will be the second time NHL All-Star activities will take place in San Jose. The Sharks previously hosted the NHL® All-Star Game in 1997. Further details on the 2019 NHL® All-Star Weekend, including ticket information and special events, will be released at a later date.

Canucks to host 2019 NHL Draft at Rogers Arena

VANCOUVER -- The Vancouver Canucks will host the 2019 NHL Draft at Rogers Arena, the National Hockey League, Canucks and City of Vancouver announced today. The 2019 NHL Draft will help the Canucks launch their 50th season in the NHL in 2019-20, which will include other special events to commemorate their historic milestone. Vancouver also will play host to the 2019 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship, where some of the top draft-eligible prospects will get a chance to play in Rogers Arena, where they hope to hear their name called on stage in June of 2019.

Jackson relished All-Star Game assignment as final-season reward

Referee to retire at end of 2017-18 after 27 years in stripes with NHL

TAMPA -- Dave Jackson was in no hurry to pull off the stripes Sunday. Or perhaps he was a little too weary to tug the jersey over his head.

The 53-year-old referee was sitting in a corner of the officials dressing room at Amalie Arena a half-hour after the 2018 Honda NHL All-Star Game, an unopened beer on the bench beside him, his equipment bag unzipped at his feet. Among those in the cramped room, overflowing with well-wishers, rolls of tape, towels and post-game cookies and pizza, were fellow referee Wes McCauley and linesmen Brian Mach and Mark Shewchyk, heading to the showers and then to a dinner with family and friends.
