NHL 13 Prediction: LA Kings vs. Blackhawks

by Matt Sitkoff /

The Chicago Blackhawks spoiled the LA Kings' banner raising ceremony on the first night of the season, silencing the home crowd with a 5-2 victory. Since then, they have showed no signs of slowing down and have yet to lose in regulation this season. The Kings boast a deep roster of talented players, and an elite goaltender, but are off to a slow start this season.

Find the Official NHL® 13 Game Prediction below. Watch the LA Kings take on the Chicago Blackhawks February 17th at 3:30 ET.
Sharks' Keys to the Game

•Help Quick – Jonathan Quick is an elite goaltender, but has had a slow start to the season. Quick needs to get back to form, but will need a reliable defense in front of him to do their part.

•Contain Kane – The talented winger sits 2nd in the NHL in scoring and has been dominant recently with 9 points in his last 5 games. The Kings must do a good job of containing the Hawks' stars to stay in this one.

Blackhawks' Keys to the Game

•Stay Hot – Start strong and keep the pace for a 60 minute game. The Blackhawks are on a roll in nearly every category. They need their stars to remain hot, and keep the pressure on throughout the game.
