Reimer hasn't played been sidelined since getting hit by Montreal's Brian Gionta early in the first period of the Leafs-Canadiens game on Oct. 22. The Leafs have said he is experiencing concussion-like symptoms. Reimer last practiced with the team on Oct. 26.
Leafs coach Ron Wilson said Reimer won't be ready to play for at least another week.
"He said he felt fine but he only went out there for 15 minutes," Wilson said. "This is going to be a process that's going to take a little bit of time to get him ready. He hasn't really done anything in a month so he's fallen probably a little off on his conditioning.
"He won't be playing for at least another week to 10 days if everything goes smoothly."
The 24-year-old Toronto native is scoreless with four penalty minutes in nine games with the Jets this season. McArdle, Florida's first-round pick (No. 20) in the 2005 NHL Draft, has played in 42 NHL games with Winnipeg and Florida, scoring a goal and adding a pair of assists, along with 51 PIM.
