Goodrow, Panarin score in Rangers' 6-3 win vs. Flyers

PHILADELPHIA --The New York Rangers extended their winning streak to a season-long six games with a 6-3 victory against the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday.

Artemi Panarin, Barclay Goodrow and K'Andre Miller each had a goal and an assist, and Mika Zibanejad had two assists for New York (17-10-5). Jaroslav Halak made 29 saves.
"I think when everyone's going, we just have that feeling in here and it's fun coming to the rink," Miller said. "You get that energy, and you just have that feeling coming to the rink and going into the game with a good attitude."
James van Riemsdyk, Scott Laughton and Morgan Frost scored for Philadelphia (10-15-7), which has lost five of six (1-3-2). Carter Hart made 29 saves.
"Thought we battled hard, but we gave them a little bit too much time and space," Laughton said. "They can dice you up pretty easily, and it goes the other way. Regroup and get back at it, but pretty good compete level from our group, and there's no quit late in the game."

Van Riemsdyk put the Flyers ahead 1-0 at 7:11 of the first period, but Panarin tied it 1-1 at 16:58 when he one-timed a cross-ice pass from Goodrow.
Miller put the Rangers in front 2-1 at 9:09 of the second period, beating Hart on a breakaway with a backhand-to-forehand deke after recovering from being tripped by Travis Sanheim at the blue line.
"Kind of happened all so quick that I kind of blacked out for a little bit, and next thing I knew I was [celebrating]," Miller said. "I felt like I was moving as fast as I ever have. It was kind of a blur."

Miller has six points (two goals, four assists) in his past six games after he had nine assists in the first 26 games this season.
"When he skates and gets up in the rush and he creates, that's when he's really good," Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba said. "He has all the tools obviously, the size (6-foot-5, 215 pounds), the strength, the reach. I think his reach is underrated. He makes a lot of plays with his stick. When he's skating and getting up the ice, he's fun to watch and fun to play with."
Goodrow pushed the lead to 3-1 at 12:14. He got a step on Laughton, received a pass from Zibanejad, and scored five-hole on Hart from the edge of the crease.
"I got caught puck watching, they go down, make a good play backdoor, and it's in the back of your net," Laughton said.
Laughton got the Flyers to within 3-2 at 17:56 with a short-handed goal. He tipped a pass from Panarin at Philadelphia's blue line, skated in on Halak, and slid a backhand five-hole.

Vesey pushed it to 4-2 at 6:22 of the third period with a turnaround shot glove side from the right circle. It was his third goal in the past two games.
Frost cut it to 4-3 at 7:53 with a shot from the top of the left circle that beat Halak glove side.
The Flyers then were awarded a power play after Vincent Trocheck was called for slashing at 16:40, but with Hart pulled for the extra skater, Trouba scored his first goal of the season into an empty net to make it 5-3 at 17:52.
Kaapo Kakko added another empty-net goal at 19:12 for the 6-3 final.
"Obviously, it's a game of inches and a game of bounces," Hart said. "They get a few that go their way, we get a few that don't. At the end of the day, I want to make one more save. For the most part, I thought we had a solid game."
