Pavel Buchnevich will look to extend his point streak to eight games when the New York Rangers play the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center on Monday.
Buchnevich has four goals and four assists in a seven-game run, and 12 points (eight goals, four assists) in his past 14 games. He is expected to play despite leaving 3:41 into the third period of a 3-0 win against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday after colliding with Flyers forward Nolan Patrick.
Goalie Mackenzie Blackwood will start for the Devils, who have lost 12 of 16 (4-10-2) and have scored one goal or fewer in four of their past seven games.
The Devils and Rangers have each been eliminated from Stanley Cup Playoff contention.
