BOSTON -- New York Rangers forward Mats Zuccarello scored a power-play goal 1:56 into overtime and Henrik Lundqvist made 33 saves in a 3-2 win against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Saturday.
Zuccarello scored on a wrist shot from the right circle through a screen by Chris Kreider after the Bruins were called for too many men on the ice. It was Zuccarello's second overtime goal of the season (Nov. 24 vs. Detroit Red Wings).

Michael Grabner and J.T. Miller scored for the Rangers (18-12-3), who won for the second straight game after defeating the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 on Friday.

"For sure, it was a back-to-back, I don't think we played our best game today," Zuccarello said. "I was probably the worst player out there. So it was a tough game. ... It was a team effort, we got the win in the end."
Lundqvist made 16 saves in the third period and overtime for the Rangers, who have won nine of their past 13 games (9-3-1).
"He was definitely in the zone and we've seen it many times throughout the season," Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh said about Lundqvist. "It's great to see him playing with confidence there, being aggressive on guys. I mean, he's just making such good reads."
Danton Heinen and Brad Marchand scored for the Bruins (15-10-5), who trailed 2-0, but lost for the second straight game (0-1-1) following a three-game winning streak.

"We obviously ... weren't as sharp as we'd like to be," Heinen said. "But going down 2-0, it was nice to get back in it. We battled back and got a point out of it and fell a little short."
David Pastrnak had an assist to extend his point streak to 11 games (five goals, seven assists), tying Tampa Bay Lightning forwards Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov for the longest streak in the NHL this season. It also matches the longest point streak of Pastrnak's career.
Tuukka Rask made 25 saves for the Bruins but lost for the first time in his past six starts (5-0-1).

Grabner gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead at 14:42 of the first. He shot the puck high and wide, but it rebounded off the glass and off Rask's back before crossing the goal line.
Miller gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead with a power-play goal 2:41 into the second period.

Heinen tipped Zdeno Chara's shot past Lundqvist with 2:48 remaining in the second period to make it 2-1.
Marchand tied the game 2-2 with a one-timer from the right dot during a power play 5:38 into the third period. Pastrnak skated end-to-end down the right side, circled the net and found Marchand with a cross-ice pass to set up the goal.

They said it

"I feel like the more I play, the more relaxed I get. Playing back-to-backs and playing more games is something that has helped me be in the right mindset. Physically it's more challenging but mentally it's easier I find. I was tired after the game last night, but I said I want to go. It's a fun challenge to have in front of you." -- Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, who is 8-0-0 with a 1.73 goals-against average and .948 save percentage in the second game of the past eight back-to-back sets in which he started both halves
"I'm going to go talk to the [TD Garden crew] about that after this. There must've been a Celtics game last night. ... Yeah, that's a first." -- Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask on Michael Grabner's goal off the glass
