Status report

The Devils will dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen, as they did Saturday in their 3-1 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins. With the injuries to Brassard and Thompson, the Senators recalled McCormick from Belleville of the American Hockey League and also will dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen. Stone practiced but will not play; he said he might be able to play Thursday against the Nashville Predators. Wideman wore a tracksuit and toque when he skated before practice for the first time since sustaining a hamstring injury on Nov. 16.
