The Game

Center Aleksander Barkov will try to break the Florida Panthers single-season scoring record in the season finale against the New Jersey Devils at BB&T Center on Saturday.

Barkov, who has 94 points (34 goals, 60 assists), tied Pavel Bure's record, set in 1999-2000, with three assists in a 5-3 victory against the Washington Capitals on Monday. But he was held without a point in a 2-1 shootout loss against the New York Islanders on Thursday.

The Panthers are 3-1-0 in their past four games after going 1-5-0 in their previous six; the Devils are 3-2-1 in their past six games after going 2-9-1 in their previous 12. Each has been eliminated from contention for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Players to watch

Devils center Pavel Zacha has seven points (one goal, six assists) in his past eight games.

Panthers forward Jonathan Huberdeau has six goals in his past six games and needs one for his first 30-goal season in the NHL.
