Everyone needs an assist from time to time. The helper of the night on Friday went to the crowd in attendance at The Prudential Center.

Before the New Jersey Devils took on the San Jose Sharks, the young woman singing the "Star-Spangled Banner" froze about halfway through the song.
Whether it was nerves or temporarily forgetting a line or malfunctioning equipment, whatever the case may be, the performer stopped singing just before the line "through the perilous fight."
But the crowd in attendance had her back. The entire building helped finish the song.
We've seen crowds get involved with singing the anthem many times before, be it during the
playoffs in Edmonton
or just recently
with 'O. Canada' in Ottawa
.
To the credit of Friday's performer, she stayed out there, smiling and accepting of the help. Good job all the way around here.
