7 p.m. ET; MSG+, FS-SE, NHL.TV

Devils team scope

The New Jersey Devils will complete a back-to-back set after a 3-0 win against the Boston Bruins at Prudential Center on Monday. The Devils have won two of their past three games (2-1-0) after losing nine of 10 (1-8-1) but are eight points behind the Philadelphia Flyers for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference. Cory Schneider, who made 22 saves agains the Bruins, will start again Tuesday. "I thought it was the best he's tracked the puck," Devils coach John Hynes said of Schneider. "He really reads the play well. That was back on track last night and his rebound control was excellent." Travis Zajac will return to the lineup after missing one game because of an illness. Zajac, who has eight goals and 24 points in 37 games, will take the place of Luke Gazdic.

Hurricanes team scope

Goalie Cam Ward will make his 13th straight start for the Carolina Hurricanes after backup Eddie Lack was diagnosed with a concussion for the second time this season. Coach Bill Peters hopes to have Faulk back either Thursday or Friday for road games at the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks. "That's just me being positive, but he's definitely taking steps in the right direction," Peters said. Forward Elias Lindholm will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury. He has skated the past two days and Peters said he might play on the two-game road trip as well.
