Defenseman Kyle Quincey on Wednesday agreed to terms with the New Jersey Devils on a one-year, one-way contract worth $1.25 million.
Quincey (6-foot-2, 216 pounds) became an unrestricted free agent on July 1 after spending the past four-plus seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, scoring 14 goals and 48 points in 256 games. He has played eight full seasons in the NHL, including three with the Colorado Avalanche (2009-12) and one with the Los Angeles Kings (2008-09).

Quincey has 30 goals, 140 points and 469 penalty minutes In 495 NHL games. He has eight assists and 38 penalty minutes in 54 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
The 31-year-old left-handed shooter was selected by the Red Wings in the fourth round (No. 132) of the 2003 NHL Draft.
