New American Hockey League team in St. John's unveils home and away jerseys @NHLdotcom

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Fans in St. John's now know what the return of the American Hockey League will look like.

The IceCaps unveiled home and away sweaters Thursday that were created in the style of the parent Winnipeg Jets. Both feature two shades of blue that include piping on the sleeves.

"These are incredibly sharp looking jerseys that are sure to catch the eye throughout the league," said IceCaps president Danny Williams.

The franchise had already unveiled its logo, which features the word "IceCaps" underneath an image of a snow-capped mountain.

St. John's will wear white sweaters at home and dark blue ones on the road. They each feature patches with the Jets logo on the shoulders.

The IceCaps open the AHL regular season on Oct. 8 in Manchester, N.H.
