Neuvirth's 34 saves help Plymouth Whalers defeat Owen Sound Attack 6-3

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - A.J. Jenks scored twice as the Plymouth Whalers doubled the Owen Sound Attack 6-3 in Saturday evening Ontario Hockey League action at the Compuware Arena.

Chris Terry and rookie Taylor Carnevale each added a goal and an assist for Plymouth (6-4-1-0). Vern Cooper and Andrew Fournier had singles, while overage defenceman Wes Cunningham chipped in two assists and was plus-5.

Matt Carter paced Owen Sound (1-10-1-0) with a pair of power play goals, with Lane MacDermid netting the other. Los Angeles Kings prospect Wayne Simmonds had three helpers. The Attack are winless in nine straight (0-8-1-0).

Plymouth goaltender Michal Neuvirth earned the win with 34 saves, with Owen Sound's David Davenport stopping 26 shots in the loss.
