, Nashville's first-round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft, scored his first NHL goal on Wednesday night in the same city where he starred in college.
Wilson tapped home a loose puck in the crease at 6:17 of the second period in the Predators' game against the Boston Bruins
at TD Garden, giving Nashville a brief 2-1 lead in a game they lost 3-2. The goal came in his fifth NHL game.
Wilson had more than a little experience playing at the Garden. The seventh player taken in 2008 starred for two seasons at Boston University and was the Terriers' top scorer last season when they won the NCAA championship. They also won the Beanpot and Hockey East titles at the Garden.
"It was really exciting," he said of stepping onto the Garden ice for the first time as a pro. "It gave me a lot of memories."
