Yan paces Lightning past Predators

Dennis Yan broke a tie with 6:59 remaining in the third period for the Tampa Bay Lightning in a 5-2 win against the Nashville Predators at Amalie Arena.

Yan's goal gave the Lightning a 3-2 lead. Carter Verhaeghe (18:29 for a 4-2 lead) and Cedric Paquette (18:52 to make it 5-2) each scored an empty-net goal.

Calle Jarnkrok gave the Predators a 1-0 lead 3:09 into the first period, but J.T. Miller tied it 1-1 at 4:18 of the second period. Alexander Volkov gave Tampa Bay a 2-1 lead at 10:15 before Ryan Ellis scored with one second remaining to tie it 2-2.

Connor Ingram played made 22 saves for the Lightning. Juuse Saros made 18 saves on 21 shots for the Predators.
