NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -The Nashville Predators agreed to a $1.25 million, one-year contract with forward Martin Gelinas on Thursday.
The 37-year-old free agent collected 44 points with the Florida Panthers last year and appeared in all 82 games in each of the last two seasons.
Gelinas recorded his 600th professional point on Oct. 21 on an assist and scored his 300th goal on April 7.
In addition to the 300 goals, the Shawinigan, Quebec-native has earned 340 assists in 1,216 games over 18 seasons with Edmonton, Quebec, Vancouver, Carolina, Calgary and Florida. He captured the Stanley Cup with Edmonton in 1990 and returned to the NHL finals three times.
Gelinas was drafted seventh overall by the Los Angeles Kings in 1988 but was almost immediately traded to Edmonton for Wayne Gretzky.
