Nail Yakupov's four points leads Sarnia Sting over Sudbury Wolves 7-2

SARNIA, Ont. - Highly-touted prospect Nail Yakupov scored twice and added two assists Saturday as the Sarnia Sting whipped the Sudbury Wolves 7-2 in the Ontario Hockey League.

Ludvig Rensfeldt added two goals and an assist for the Sting (2-1-1), while Craig Hottot, Domenic Alberga and Nick Latta also scored. Charles Sarault and Taylor Carnevale each added three assists.

Andre Comtois and Andrew Kuchin replied for Sudbury (0-4-0), which stayed winless on the season.

Brandon Maxwell made 28 saves for the win, while Brendan O'Neill allowed seven goals on 27 shots in the loss.

The Sting were 2-for-4 with the man advantage while the Wolves finished 0-for-6.
