Myers scores overtime winner as Kelowna shades Medicine Hat 4-3 @NHLdotcom

KELOWNA, B.C. - Tyler Myers scored the overtime winner as the Kelowna Rockets defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 4-3 in Western Hockey League action on Wednesday night.

Myles MacRae and Brady Leavold, with their fifth goals of the season, plus Colin Long, with his team-leading 15th, also scored for the Rockets (17-10-2-2), who led 1-0 midway through the first period but trailed 3-2 after two periods.

Wacey Hamilton, Brennan Bosch and Tyler Ennis, with his 19th, replied for Medicine Hat (16-11-3-1), which began a seven-game road trip with a tough defeat despite a strong third period.

Kris Westblom made 17 saves for the Rockets, who begin a six-game road trip on Friday night against the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Tomas Vosvrda turned aside 31 shots for the Tigers, who visit the Vancouver Giants on Friday.
