OSHAWA, Ont. - Mike Murphy made 22 saves for his fourth shutout of the season as the Belleville Bulls defeated the Oshawa Generals 2-0 for their sixth straight win in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday night.

Murphy, the OHL's reigning goalie of the year, preserved the shutout with a nice third period save on Robert Kousal and lowered his league-leading goals-against average to 1.97.

Eric Tangradi scored what proved to be the winning goal late in the first period on a power play, where the Bulls (32-13-2-2) were 1-for-6 in the game.

Nick Palmieri scored Belleville's other goal midway through the second period on a high shot from the slot that beat Generals goalie Michael Zador glove-side.

Zador finished with 30 saves for Oshawa (21-21-1-4).
