Murphy has goal, three assists as Rangers win 5-2 over Kingston Frontenacs

KINGSTON, Ont. - Ryan Murphy?s four points led the Kitchener Rangers to a 5-2 win over the Kingston Frontenacs on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Murphy assisted on goals by Radek Faksa, Cody Sol and Tyler Randell, on the power play, and potted his second goal of the season in the second period.

Zach Lorentz also scored for the Rangers (28-12-1) on a penalty shot, while Jean Dupuy and Cody Alcock replied for the Frontenacs (12-27-4). Lorentz was awarded the penalty shot after he was hauled down by Kingston defenceman Michael Moffat while on a breakaway.

Franky Palazzese turned aside 38 shots in the Rangers goal, while Frontenacs Jacob Riley, in his first start for Kingston, stopped 35 of 40 shots.

Kitchener was 1 for 5 on the power play, while Kingston was scoreless in two chances with the man advantage.
