Murovich hat trick leads Saginaw to 7-1 whitewash of Kingston @NHL

KINGSTON, Ont. - Tyler Murovich scored three power-play goals as the Saginaw Spirit trounced the Kingston Frontenacs 7-1 in Ontario Hockey League play Friday.

Ryan McDonough added two goals, including one with the man advantage, as the Spirit (4-4-2-1) finished 4-for-8 on the power-play. Jack Combs and Jason McDonough had singles while Nick Crawford and Nigel Williams contributed two assists apiece.

Nathan Moon had the lone goal for the Frontenacs (2-8-0-1), which has lost five straight games.

Parker Van Buskirk earned the win with 22 saves for Saginaw.

Jason Guy stopped 28 shots for Kingston.
