Mucha stops 38, Peters scores twice as Portland blanks the Silvertips 4-0 @NHLdotcom

PORTLAND, Ore. - Kurtis Mucha stopped 38 shots and Taylor Peters scored twice to pace the Portland Winterhawks to a 4-0 win over the Everett Silvertips in Western Hockey League play on Friday night.

Portland (11-25-1-0) opened the scoring with two goals on a five minute power play in the second period from Peters and Chris Francis. Luke Walker scored the other goal, While Killian Hutt and Brett Ponich both recorded two assists. Francis also added an assist for Portland.

Everett (17-15-5-0) went 0-3 on the power play while giving up two goals on a 5 minute power play. Silvertip goalie Shayne Barrie made 34 saves.
