Mrazek shuts door on Kingston as Ottawa 67s blank Frontenacs 3-0 @NHLdotcom

OTTAWA - The Ottawa 67's could not have been any stingier this weekend as they posted back-to-back 3-0 shutouts at the Urbandale Centre.

Friday the Belleville Bulls were shutout by the 67's and Chris Perugini and Sunday afternoon it was Petr Mrazek posting a whitewash over the Kingston Frontenacs.

The 67's (24-17-1) got two goals from Cody Lindsay and two assists from Tyler Toffoli in the win. Shane Prince also scored while Mrazek stopped all 28 shots he faced and added an assist.

Tyler Beskorowany made 40 stops for the Frontenacs (21-23-4).

Lindsay opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 12:21 of the first period and then added an even-strength goal at 7:55 of the second. Prince closed the scoring with a marker at 15:46 of the second.

The 67's are now 5-0-2 in their past seven games and have a six point lead atop the East Division standings over the Peterborough Petes.
