Moose beat Chops in shootout for their ninth-straight win at home

WINNIPEG - Jason Jaffrey scored the shootout winner as the Manitoba Moose won their first-ever game against the Iowa Chops 4-3 in AHL action Friday.

Moose defenceman Maxime Fortunus scored his first two goals of the season as Manitoba (15-3-0-0) extended their home winning streak to nine games. Mark Derlago scored the other Moose regulation goal.

Iowa forward Joakim Lindstrom scored twice and defenceman Brendan Mikkelson added a goal as the Chops fell to 11-7-1-1.

Manitoba goalie Karl Goehring made 28 saves for his fifth win of the season, while Jean-Phillipe Levasseur stopped 16 at the other end.
