Alexander Radulov scored in his return to the NHL, helping the Montreal Canadiens to a 5-2 preseason win against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday.
Radulov scored 4:12 into the first period, then had an assist on a goal by Nathan Beaulieu at 17:41 that gave Montreal a 2-0 lead. Beaulieu had three assists, Torrey Mitchell scored twice, and Paul Byron had a goal for Montreal. Radulov last played in the NHL for the Nashville Predators in 2011-12. Marcus Johansson and Zach Sanford scored for Washington, which had 17 shots on goal against Al Montoya and Zachary Fucale.
