Montreal Canadiens defenseman Nathan Beaulieu will miss 2-3 weeks with a lower-body injury, the team announced Friday.

Beaulieu sustained the injury Monday in a 2-1 shootout loss to the Nashville Predators. He's third among Canadiens defensemen in scoring this season with 17 points (two goals) in 56 games.

Montreal announced Thursday defenseman Jeff Petry will miss the rest of the regular season because of sports hernia surgery and defenseman Tom Gilbert is out six months after having left knee surgery.
