ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Wild, in partnership with Minnesota Hockey and Xcel Energy, today announced it will host a Mite Holiday Jamboree on Dec. 28-29 at Xcel Energy Center. Boys and girls from across the State of Hockey are invited to participate in this event.

"We couldn't have been happier with how last year's inaugural Mite Holiday Jamboree went," said Minnesota Hockey Executive Director Glen Andresen. "Watching those kids get the chance to experience playing on the Xcel Energy Center ice was an absolute joy. Minnesota Hockey owes a huge debt of gratitude to the Minnesota Wild, not just for hosting this event, but for promoting small area games and skill development for our youngest players."
The jamboree is open to a total of 16, age 8 & Under Youth teams and 16, age 8 & Under Girls teams. Age 6 & Under and Mini-Mite teams are not eligible.
Participating teams will play two, 30-minute half-ice games at Xcel Energy Center. Each mite team will play two games on Thursday, Dec. 28 or two games on Friday, Dec. 29. There is a limit of two teams per association.
In addition, all participating teams are invited to watch the Minnesota Wild practice scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28 at Xcel Energy Center. Registration opens Friday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. For more information and to register for the Mite Holiday Jamboree, visit
