Mitchell scores twice as Windsor earns second straight win, 4-1 over Erie @NHLdotcom

WINDSOR, Ont. - Dale Mitchell scored twice and added an assist as the Windsor Spitfires earned their second straight victory, 4-1 over the Erie Otters on Sunday in the Ontario Hockey League.

Mitchell's 17th goal of the season tied the game 1-1 at 1:19 of the second period, and Adam Henrique added the eventual game-winner at 1:32 of the third. Mitchell's second goal of the game gave the Spitfires (28-4-0-1) some insurance on a power-play midway through the period.

Conor O'Donnell added an empty netter for Windsor, which improved to 2-1 at the new Windsor First Credit Union Centre. The Spitfires conclude their five-game homestand at their new digs with games Tuesday against Saginaw and Thursday against Kitchener.

Zack Torquato had the lone goal for the Otters (14-17-2-0), who have dropped four in a row.

Andrew Engelage stopped 24 shots to earn the win for Windsor.

Jaroslav Janus made 44 shots for Erie.
