Marner wins post-All-Star Game challenge, drops seven gators in interview

Mitchell Marner rose to the challenge at the 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Game and after it.

The Toronto Maple Leafs forward not only helped the Atlantic Division All-Stars to a win, he definitively won a social media challenge posed to him after the game.
Marner was challenged to use the word "gator" in his postgame scrum with reporters. And did he ever.

His usage ranged from very suspect -- "we got a lot of gators in this locker room" -- to excellent -- "I wish I saw a gator [in Florida]. We don't have gators in Toronto."
Total number of gators used: Seven.
Marner did miss one easy opportunity by not saying "Later, gators" to the media as he ended his session, but the joke wasn't over for the Maple Leafs social media team.
On Sunday, the day after Marner's interview, the team shared some video of a stagnant-yet-still-terrifying-looking gator somewhere in a swamp.

For everyone's safety, let's hope they used som stock footage.
