Santa gets called up to warmups for the Wild

Meet Santa Reavo and Kirill Kaprizelf.

Minnesota Wild forwards Ryan Reaves and Kirill Kaprizov were in the full holiday spirit as they dressed up as Santa Claus and an elf before Sunday's game against the Ottawa Senators at Xcel Energy Center.
Reaves did don the full red Santa Claus suit and beard before the game while Kaprizov, while still wearing green, was far from wearing his Wild home sweater.
"Reavo called me a couple days ago and asked me if I want (to be an) elf. He's Santa," Kaprizov said. "I said, 'Yeah, why not? Let's go.' It's all Reavo's idea."

During warmups, Reaves and Kaprizov kept their Christmas-themed hats on and passed out pucks and mini sticks to the crowd in attendance.

It was the Wild's final home game of 2022. After the 4-2 win, they had a little photoshop fun on social media.

Santa Reavo and Kaprizelf won't be taking their act on the road. But never fear, boys and girls, you may see them again in 2023.
"Maybe next year," Kaprizov said.
