CHICAGO -- Corey Crawford made a season-high 39 saves to help the Chicago Blackhawks to a 3-1 win against the Minnesota Wild at United Center on Sunday.

The Blackhawks goaltender has allowed two regulation goals in the past three games. He made his season debut on Oct. 18 (4-1 loss against Arizona Coyotes) after having not played since Dec. 23, 2017 because of a concussion.
"Overall, I think I've felt great," Crawford said. "I felt good in every game and just got to battle and work to be good. I've felt good so far, but I felt our guys did a really good job of helping out in front of the net."

Jonathan Toews had a goal and an assist and Patrick Kane had two assists for the Blackhawks (8-8-5), who are 2-0-2 in their past four games.
Toews has 10 goals in 21 games; it took him 38 to score 10 last season. He has five points (two goals, three assists) during a four-game point streak.

MIN@CHI: Toews buries Kane's pass for PPG

"I still say again, there's always room for improvement," Toews said. "You've got to give a team like that credit. When they play well, they're good at holding on to the puck and creating chances and you're going to give up some. But I think our penalty kill, our power play, everything is starting to really fall into place. We're finding our confidence."
Zach Parise scored and Alex Stalock made 25 saves for the Wild (12-7-2), who were perfect on their second of back-to-backs (4-0-0) and 11-3-0 in their previous 14 games.
"It's a good thing if we're not accustomed to losing two in a row," Parise said. "Now you make sure it's not three in a row. Maybe we can get better screens in front of the net. Maybe that's why we're not scoring the [last] couple of games, who knows? But make sure [the skid] stops at two."
Toews gave the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead at 8:26 of the first period on a power-play goal after Kane sent a pass across the crease.
"I'm getting opportunities, finding pucks around the net," Toews said. "At the end of the day, going into every game it's wanting the puck in every scenario and trying to get sticks on pucks and just be dangerous around the net. It's nice to see them go in."
Brandon Saad made it 2-0 at 17:29 of the first after he drove past Wild defenseman Matt Dumba and scored on a backhand.

MIN@CHI: Saad beats Stalock with gorgeous move

It was the first time this season Saad has scored in consecutive games. He has four goals in his past seven.
"I thought he was playing pretty good before I got here," Blackhawks coach Jeremy Colliton said. "Unfortunately he got injured there, but he stepped right in and arguably could have said he's our best player every game he's played since he came back."
Parise's power-play goal made it 2-1 at 7:56 of the second period.
Blackhawks forward Dominik Kahun made it 3-1 with an empty-net goal at 19:01 of the third period.
Wild forward Marcus Foligno left the game at 7:13 of the third period after Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook's shot hit the outside of his right knee. Foligno got an X-ray following the game that came back negative.
"I'm hoping just to ice it and hopefully this thing is feeling better tomorrow or the next day," Foligno said. "It's nice we have two days until we play again."

They said it

"They're probably frustrated now. The best thing we have is a day off tomorrow. You know the way I operate; OK, it's over. We lost the week, now let's move on to win the next week here. That's what we're looking at." -- Wild coach Bruce Boudreau
"Yeah, it's no secret that he's great. He makes those saves you can keep you in a game or if things are going against you, he holds the fort. We've got some old guys, but we've got some young guys too, and they need that. They need that security blanket. It's great to see. Obviously, he had a great reputation coming in. He's been everything I expected." -- Blackhawks coach Jeremy Colliton on goaltender Corey Crawford
