Minnesota scores 3 times on power play, beats Red Wings 3-2 in exhibition

DETROIT - The Minnesota Wild scored all of their goals on the power play in a 3-2 pre-season win over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Brent Burns, and Brian Rolston all scored for Minnesota (1-1). Pavol Demitra had two assists, and Josh Harding made 27 saves.

Mark Hartigan and Mattias Ritola had goals for Detroit (1-1). Dominik Hasek stopped 10 of 12 shots in just more than 30 minutes of play, and Jimmy Howard finished with eight saves.

Ritola's goal cut the Red Wings' deficit to 3-2 at 8:27 of the third period.

New Red Wings defenceman Bryan Rafalski missed the game because of a hip flexor injury.
