Mike Cammalleri scores shootout winner, Devils beat Islanders 3-2 @NHLdotcom

NEWARK, N.J. - Mike Cammalleri and Jacob Josefson scored in the shootout, and the New Jersey Devils won for the sixth time in seven games with a 3-2 decision over the New York Islanders on Saturday.

John Moore and Bobby Farnham each scored their first goal of the season and Cory Schneider made 24 saves for New Jersey, which lost all four games to the Islanders last season.

Anders Lee and Frans Nielsen scored for New York, which played without captain John Tavares. He was scratched before the game for reasons the team said it would disclose after the contest.

Nielson scored for New York's first attempt in the shootout. Schneider stopped Kyle Okposo and Kyle Clutterbuck and Josh Bailey hit the post.

After Adam Henrique was stopped by Jaroslav Halak, Josefson scored. Lee Stempniak hit the crossbar on the third attempt and Cammalleri ended it with his backhander.
