Mickey Renaud scores twice as Windsor Spitfires beat Sarnia 5-1 @NHLdotcom

WINDSOR, Ont. - Mickey Renaud scored twice while Jakub Kovar made 45 saves as the Windsor Spitfires beat the Sarnia Sting 5-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.

After a scoreless first period in which the Sting outshot the Spitfires 23-13, Mark Cundari and Matthew Bragg scored four minutes apart in the second to give Windsor a 2-0 lead.

Rookie sensation Taylor Hall added a goal for the Spitfires (30-14-5-4).

Jamie Arniel replied for the Sting (28-21-1-0).

Andrew Perugini faced 40 shots in taking the loss.
