Metsola blocks 32 shots as Hurricanes blow past Blades 3-1
NHL.com @NHLLETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Juha Metsola made 32 saves for his first career Western Hockey League victory as the Lethbridge Hurricanes beat the Saskatoon Blades 3-1 Saturday night.
Jesse Craige scored the game-winning goal for the Hurricanes midway through the third period, breaking a 1-1 tie with a power-play tally from the point.
Mitch Fadden and Zach Boychuk, into an empty net, also scored for Lethbridge (2-2-0).
Saskatoon (1-4-0) got its lone goal from defenceman Stefan Elliott, while Braden Holtby made 27 saves.
Saskatoon was held scoreless on eight power-play chances while the Hurricanes clicked on two of six opportunities.
